A Van called muriel

Our first film, A Van Called Muriel follows a deluded folk band embark on a 3 day long journey across the English countryside to play their first ever gig in Lincolnshire. Along the way they encounter numerous setbacks, largely caused by the bassist Baz’s protective driving of his Nan’s precious van and the constant trials of pursuing a dream in the music industry.

We shot this film across 4 days during our summer break from film school in Oscar's home county, after writing it on evenings and weekends over the course of 3 months.

Utilising local connections and family and friends to fill out the cast and crew, this was a shoot very much in the 'guerilla' style and it was a monumentous achievement to shoot what ended up becoming a 47 minute film in such a short amount of time.
